Welcome to the German Center for Choral Music (DCfC)

the “NOAH’S ARK” for choral music (WDR).

The DCfC is a facility for choir directors who are searching for choral literature. At its heart is a globally unique reference library of choral works, consisting of a collection of choral scores, manuscripts, and out-of-print choral works.

The library’s special structure and organization mean that on-site access to the score editions is often faster than with a computer, and you can also view, study, and if necessary, try out the complete work on the piano.

A visit to the library is not strictly necessary if you know which work you are looking for. A simple inquiry via This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. is sufficient.

Contacts with more than 1,000 national and international choral publishers and composers from around the world enable the DCfC to continuously expand its holdings with new releases and historical score editions.

Members of the Choir Directors’ Forum can independently research in the archive during opening hours after an introduction and by appointment. Non-members can research in the library under the supervision of the library staff for a fee.

With approximately 450,000 individual titles, the collection possesses a unique global characteristic.
